The RVT works in tandem with our veterinarians to provide anesthesia and analgesia services, dental radiographs, cleanings, extractions and dental charting to our patients. You'll work with the latest technology, practice modern medicine, and participate in the education of our clients.

Requirements:
Veterinary Technician License (RVT)
2 years’ experience as a Dental Veterinary Technician
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly communicate with clients as well as team members
The ability to adapt while maintaining a positive attitude
Highly evolved organizational skills with an acute attention to detail
The ability to work independently, responsibly, and ethically
A resourceful nature and creative problem-solving skills
An openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
A commitment to the welfare of animals
Nice To Have: Interest in pursuing your VTS
Veterinary Technician duties, you will participate in:
You will perform oral examinations.
You will perform dental charting.
You will take dental radiographs with proper positioning and technique.
You will set up and assist with dental procedures and surgeries.
You will perform professional dental cleanings including subgingival scaling.
You will perform effective oral nerve blocks in preparation for advanced procedures as directed by veterinarian.
You will perform dental extractions.
You will be able to calculate basic medical math.
You will understand classification of commonly used medications, associated side effects and appropriately monitors therapeutic response.
You will administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
You will perform phlebotomy.
You will have the ability to place peripheral intravenous catheters.
You will perform physical exam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.
You will induce, monitor anesthesia and recover patients.
You will providing consistently compassionate care for our hospitalized patients
Schedule:
Part-time and Full-time Available
8 or 10 hour shifts
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
